The Lord is so good! Shawn and I have been very busy doing different ministry things lately. We feel like there's so much ministry to do that we just can't take time to work to earn money also. So we haven't been much at all. But our loving heavenly Father keeps providing. Quite a few times we've been down to just a few dollars, and then God provides in some way. We've never been hungry. It's a blessing, because we know that soon, all the world will be without money. It's good to learn these lessons of trusting God before the crisis hits. The world is just getting worse, it won't get better. But that's good news! Because Jesus is coming soon! At least it's good news if we're ready. We don't have much time, we must get ready now! And then help others to be ready. We're really thankful to be able to be workers with the Lord trying to help people come to know Him more. It's amazing that God would want us to work with Him even though we're so weak and incapable compaired to Him!

I want to tell you just one of the many ways the Lord has provided for us. We've been wanting some beds for in case we have visitors. The other day while we were driving, we noticed that our neighbors were carrying some beds out of their house. They were getting rid of them, and they said we could have them! So the Lord provided us with two beds:)

Our Father in heaven has also been providing us with ministry opportunities. Shawn preached at church the Sabbath before last. He preached about the laws in the old testament that we should be keeping now. We've been amazed in our studies to find that there are actually MANY old testament laws we should still be obeying. What a blessing! The Lord has given us instruction on just how to live so that we can honor Him, and so things will go well for us. I just want to share a quote I appreciated.

Wonderful possibilities are open to those who lay hold of the divine assurances of God's word. There are glorious truths to come before the people of God. Privileges and duties which they do not even suspect to be in the Bible will be laid open before them. As they follow on in the path of humble obedience, doing His will, they will know more and more of the oracles of God. {8T 322.3}

Isn't that beautiful?

Please keep us in prayer as we seek to come closer to the Lord, and share Him with others. Thank you.

I want to praise the Lord because today He's given Shawn and I 15 months of marriage!

We want to tell you about what the Lord did for us! We’re very grateful. We got robbed. I know it sounds silly to be thankful for that, but the Bible says in 1Thessalonians 5:18 “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” After being robbed, we praised the Lord, but we didn’t yet know why we should be grateful, except that He said to. Now we know why we should be grateful!

Shawn and I like going out in nature to walk and enjoy the beauty God created. We had gone to las ruinas in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Ruinas are ruins. There used to be a lighthouse, and now it’s old ruins. It’s a neat place. On our way there we’d seen lots of grafiti and stuff, and I felt a little worried, but I brushed it off. I believe God was trying to warn us, but I didn’t listen carefully enough. Any time you think God may be trying to tell you something, pray a lot about it, don’t just brush it off.

We’d gone farther and everything seemed fine. There were a few people on the beach by the ruins. We saw that there was a dirt road, so we decided to see where it went. We ended up on a totally empty beach. It was a nice peaceful place so we decided to stay there and have a picnic. We hadn’t brought our dog with us for a long time, but that day we decided to take her. As we were eating, she started barking. At first she barked towards the trees behind us, then towards the car. We couldn’t see anything, so we figured it was an animal. After eating, Shawn went to the car to put our lunch away, and I started down the beach for a walk. Shawn came to walk with me, and we had a nice walk down the beach. When we got back our window was broken and our computer was gone! We very quickly threw our stuff in the car to leave since we knew the theives couldn’t be too far away. We thought we’d better call the police, but when I tried to find my purse to get our phone, it was gone too. My wallet with my license, debit card, social security card, and ATH cards was in my purse. We quickly drove back towards the main road, praying while we went. We passed some people who were on their way to the ruins. We stopped to tell them that we just got robbed and they may not want to go. God is so good! They were really nice people and they let us use their phone to cancel our debit card, and call the police, then they took us to the police station.

While we were waiting at the police station, one of the police told us we were very lucky, a couple had gone down there last year and almost been killed! We were so thankful to be alive! As we drove away we thanked the Lord for His protection, and we prayed for the theives. We pray they’ll be converted, there’s a lot of Bible studies on the computer and in my purse, so hopefully they’ll read them.

We told a friend what happened and he told us about someone who’d found a dead person there. We told someone else and they told us that they knew of three people killed there. Almost everyone we’ve told has said that las ruinas has that reputation. The more people we speak with, the more grateful we are. They took our stuff, but at least they didn’t hurt us! We know God was watching over us. They had to have been watching us because they knew when we left the car. Also, our dog was barking towards the car right before Shawn went to put our lunch away. The people were probably watching Shawn as he went to the car, and me as I walked alone down the beach. Why didn’t they hurt us? Because our guardian angels were there with us. We praise the Lord for His protection! We’re very thankful to be alive and unharmed.

Next time something bad happens, I want to remember to thank the Lord. He won’t allow anything to happen to His children that He can’t bring good out of. And just like this experience, latter on we may find out that we have a lot more to be thankful for than we thought.

Hello friends,

I'm sorry it's taken us so long to update this, but soon I will get a newsletter on here. So please come back soon!

We are thankful to be here in Puerto Rico. We know the Lord brought us here, and He's been giving us different opportunities to do ministry, which we'll tell you more about latter. Please keep us in prayer. We want to fulfill the Lord's purpose for bringing us here. Thank you.

We put a slideshow on here of some of our pictures. The sunsets are beautiful from our house, so there are many sunset pictures. It's amazing how God paints a new sky every moment. He decorates it so beautifully for our enjoyment! God is so good! Hope you enjoy the pictures.
